After arriving on Thursday night in the beautiful city of Jerusalem, Friday was spent touring the country with trips around Jerusalem, Dead Sea and Hebron.
After a relaxing Shabbat, and a fabulous dinner in Jerusalem, delegates were suitably rested before the conference at the School of Dental Medicine Hadassah Ein Kerem Campus.
The day was split into various dental specialties with a great balance between clinical and academic content. With so many speakers from all over the world, one was able to appreciate an overview in a variety of different topics.
Monday included a visit to a variety of different projects which are supported by our charitable donations at AO. These included visiting the Dental Volunteers of Israel (DVI) in Jerusalem and Beit Issie Shapiro facility in Ranana, which provide dental care to patients from troubled and underprivileged backgrounds, and patients with special needs. The afternoon included a tour of Tel Aviv Dental School. There was a large disparity in the facilities (which were in need of rejuvenation) in comparison to Jerusalem dental school. This highlighted the importance of our continual support.
The conference concluded with a farewell cocktail party, which ended in high spirits!
A thoroughly enjoyable weekend had by all.
